You may be new to meditation or an experienced meditator. Either way, let’s start with something simple.
You're here and that’s enough.
You don’t need to know how to do this. You don’t need to do it perfectly.
Being a beginner isn’t a problem. It’s a place to start.
We often think we need to have things figured out. That we need to already know how to sit still, breathe deeply, or quiet the mind. But what if there’s space, even usefulness in not knowing?
What if not having it all figured out is actually the most honest place to begin?
I understand there is comfort in knowing, and not knowing can be uncomfortable. But who is putting that pressure on us?
This practice is about starting from where you are — without pressure to be anywhere else.
I am glad that you are here.
I’ll begin by letting you know that I will create more space in this meditation for quiet. More time in silence. So starting out, this is something that you already know. ;)
Join me in the chat today. I will be sharing a book I have on my bedside table ready for me to read over the summer. It’s about being a beginner!
