So, today I am a day older than yesterday.
Yesterday was my 55th birthday. If you read my birthday post, you’ll know that I celebrated by honouring the older women in my life and expressing my gratitude for their example—showing me a way to age gracefully.
They’ve taught me how to turn toward my body as it ages, changes shape, and moves a bit differently than it did 15 years ago. One of the beautiful things about the Bring Calm Home community, and the Creating Space Yoga community we’ve built over 18 years, is that there are women of all ages here right now. Each of us walks our own path, carrying our own history, and growing in our own way.
All of us have something to learn and something to teach.
Today, you are also one day older than you were yesterday. How lucky for us!
The meditation today is not about holding on to the past or pining for our younger bodies. It’s also not about rushing ahead or fearing an aging body. It’s about being here now—with our breath, with our bodies, with this community of women…and letting it all be enough.
Let’s get started…
